SYSTEMS

God is in the systems creating business and He does it to perfection. I'll name a few: the solar system, the ecosystem, and the cardio-vascular, reproductive, skeletal, muscular and neurological systems. Man also creates systems. Theology is a system to teach us about God and His Word. We have telephone systems, highway systems, and computer systems. I could go on and on and on.

Systems are designed to perform a specific function or functions to produce a desired effect and to do it in a highly efficient and productive manner. I have designed the Power Spheres Teaching System to teach the spiritual life as God's anointing so leads.

THE ANOINTING

The word anointed comes from the Greek word, charisma. In Old Testament times, an anointing was rubbing the body with grease or oil and was meant to promote physical well-being. Pouring oil over the head supposedly conferred strength or majesty. God's anointed were given divine authorization and protection.

In John's Epistle, 1 John 2: 20,27, we also find the word, charisma. In Kittel and Freidreich's, Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, charisma is defined,

The "anointing" of the Spirit enables believers to resist false teaching by imparting clarity of faith and judgement. Charima here is not "anointing oil" but an instructive power that remains in the church and makes it independent of an official teaching office.

So with these thoughts in mind, charisma, or the spiritual oil of the Holy Spirit, is for our spiritual well-being. How? As we daily partake of God's Word within the Sphere of Faith, it is then broken down by the Holy Spirit. Once broken down, it is more than God's Word (Gr., gnosis), but His Wisdom (Gr., epignosis).

EPIGNOSIS IS REVEALED BY GOD

There is an important difference to note. Gnosis is knowledge discovered and understood by the human mind; epignosis cannot be so discovered. It must be revealed by God the Holy Spirit. I call this His intimate counsel. God's intimate counsel is that which transforms our thinking and therefore gives us the mind of Christ. Having the mind of Christ provides for our spiritual well-being by giving us His peace.

So in a nutshell, the Power Spheres Teaching System is designed to teach God's mysteries, or His intimate counsel, so that you, the believer, might feed upon it for your spiritual health and well-being. And like any honest practitioner of medicine or law, who would warn his patient or client of dangerous substances or actions, this ministry is committed to warn you of spiritual junkfood. Great harm is being done to the body of Christ by doctrines of demons, so robustly embraced and taught by false prophets. As Robert Thieme, former pastor of Berachah Church in Houston, Texas, has pointed out, America is a client nation to God, because of the number of faithful believers. And because of our client nation status, America has indeed been greatly blessed beyond any nation. However, we are falling dangerously close to losing that status and privilege, because believers are not following the spiritual life.

Winners or Losers

We are foolishly allowing selfish ambition, crusader arrogance, and a "something for nothing" attitude to govern our every action, word, and thought. We have lost that winning edge, I am afraid, due to our prosperity. Other great nations have fallen in the past for this very reason. We are becoming a nation of losers as Robert Thieme would say. This can change if we change our diet.

Let us forever cast aside the garbage of today's false prophets and gorge ourselves upon God's spiritual food, His intimate counsel. We must listen what God would have us do, rather than to false prophets who teach what we would have of God. We must turn, we must repent, we must change our minds and refocus and that which is of God, not man. God still stands at the door of our hearts and knocks,

[If] My people, who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land, 2 Chronicles 7:14

The big IF

But that is a big IF. Do we as believers in America have the will power to change our diet? As long as we seek to carry out our personal agenda, we will have no appetite for God's spiritual food. We must get our focus back on Christ as the Apostle Peter more than once learned. Christ's question to him from John 21:15 is now put to us.

America's future lies in the hands of God's people. Will we rise to the occasion? The big IF remains.
